Arunachal Pradesh Mountaineer Kabak Yano Summits Mount Aconcagua in ArgentinaIn February 2026, 27-year-old Indian mountaineer Kabak Yano, hailing from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh (AR), successfully summited Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, the highest peak in South America and the Western Hemisphere with a height of 22,831 feet (ft) (6959 meters, m) above sea level, as part of her ongoing 7-Summit Mountaineering Expedition.
- Kabak Yano is the first woman from the Nyishi community and the fifth woman climber from AR to summit Mount Aconcagua.

- Mount Elbrus: She scaled Mount Elbrus (5642 m) (18510 ft) in Europe on 16 August 2025.
