Highlights of the India-Arab Ministers’ Meeting 2026:
Participation: The event brought together foreign ministers and senior diplomats from India and all 22 Arab League member states, along with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States (LAS).
Significance: The 2026 meeting marks the first meeting in India and the first in 10 years since the inaugural session was held in Bahrain in 2016.
Delhi Declaration Adoption: India and the LAS formally adopted the New Delhi Declaration of the 2nd India-Arab Summit. It reflects deeper India-Arab cooperation on regional and global issues amid evolving geopolitics in West Asia and beyond.
