Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda Launches Indigenous Td Vaccine in Kasauli, HPIn February 20, 2026, Union Minister Jagat Prakash (J.P) Nadda, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare(MoHFW), launched the indigenously manufactured Tetanus and Adult Diphtheria (Td) vaccine at the Central Research Institute (CRI) in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh (HP).
About Td Vaccine:
Overview: The Td vaccine provides protection against two serious bacterial diseases such as Tetanus and Diphtheria. The Td vaccine combines tetanus toxoid and diphtheria toxoid, offering dual protection.
Production & Supply: The vaccine is manufactured domestically at CRI, which completed all required developmental studies, obtained necessary licenses and approvals, received clearance from the Central Drugs Laboratory(CDL), and started commercial production.
