East Bengal FC Clinched Inaugural SAFF Women’s Club Title Held in Kathmandu, Nepal
In December 2025, India’s East Bengal Football Club (FC) clinched the inaugural edition of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Club Championship 2025 title after defeating Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) FC by 3-0 in the final match held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
In December 2025, India’s East Bengal Football Club (FC) clinched the inaugural edition of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Club Championship 2025 title after defeating Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) FC by 3-0 in the final match held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
- Following this victory, East Bengal FC has now become the 1st Indian women’s FC to claim an international tournament.

Key Participants: The competition featured women’s FCs from 5 South Asian countries: India, Nepal, Pakistan (Karachi City FC), Bangladesh (Nasir Sports Academy) and Bhutan (Transport United).
Prize: Nepal’s Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta presented a silverware and USD 10,000 cheque to the winning team (East Bengal FC).
- And, the 1st-runner up team (APF FC) received a cash prize of USD 5,000.
