The Government of India (GoI) participated in the 11th edition of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum held from December 14 to 15, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

About UNAOC Global Forum 2025:
Theme: The forum was held under the theme “UNAOC: Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity – Advancing a New Era of Mutual Respect and Understanding in a Multipolar World.”
Indian Delegation: P. Kumaran, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), led the Indian delegation and participated in the High-Level Meeting of the Group of Friends of UNAOC.
- The delegation highlighted India’s civilizational heritage, cultural diversity, and commitment to pluralism.
Reaffirmed Values: The GoI reaffirmed its commitment to the ancient sanskrit ideal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, meaning “The World is One Family”, and highlighted “Sarva Dharma Samabhav”, meaning “Equal Respect for All Religions”
About UNAOC: Launched by the UN in 2005, the initiative promotes intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation to reduce polarization and counter terrorism.
- It was initiated by Spain and Turkey and endorsed by the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
