About COP17 Logo:
Endemic Inspiration: The emblem draws inspiration from the Erivan Anomalous Blue (Polyommatus eriwanensis), a blue butterfly endemic to the Yerevan region, symbolising local biodiversity and ecological resilience.
Features: The logo incorporates 23 blended colours representing the 23 targets of the Kunming (China)-Montreal (Canada) Global Biodiversity Framework, which was adopted in 2022, with an aim to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030.
Significance: The COP17 logo and its slogan highlight Armenia’s emphasis on moving beyond broad commitments toward targeted, coordinated global action for biodiversity conservation.
