In April 2026, the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog)’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) launched two new initiatives, Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Sarthi and Mentor India Academy at Vardhaman College of Engineering in Hyderabad, Telangana.
In April 2026, the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog)’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) launched two new initiatives, Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Sarthi and Mentor India Academy at Vardhaman College of Engineering in Hyderabad, Telangana.
- These initiatives, in line with the Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, aimed to nurture innovation from the school-level.
About Launched Initiatives:
Initiatives: ATL Sarthi is a comprehensive capacity-building programme for ATL in-charges and educators, while the Mentor India Academy serves as an advanced training platform for mentors under AIM’s Mentor India initiative.
Scope: The initiative will offer structured mentorship and institutional support to 379 ATLs in Telangana.
Objective: The initiative will empower students with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies, structured problem-solving approaches, among others.
Regional Clusters: Under these new initiatives, ATLs will be grouped into regional clusters, each supported by a nodal institution.
