In April 2026, Union Minister of State (MoS) (Independent Charge, IC) Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ministry of Science and Technology (MoS&T), launched the first-ever dedicated programme on ‘Administrative Capacity Building for Scientists and Academicians’ under Mission Karmayogi, during a special session of ‘SADHANA(Strengthening Adaptive Development and Humane Aptitude for National Advancement) Saptah’ held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, Delhi.

- The revamped Unified New-Age National Training Institutions (UNNATI) portal aimed to bolster institutional capacity-building ecosystems.
- He also unveiled a roadmap for the national rollout of the Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram.
MoU Signed: During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) to foster global knowledge partnerships in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital governance and public sector innovation.
