Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh Launches BIRAC-BioNEST Incubation Centre at CFTRI, Karnataka
In April 2026, Union Minister of State (MoS) (Independent Charge, IC) Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ministry of Science and Technology (MoS&T), launched the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council-Bioincubators Nurturing Entrepreneurship for Scaling Technologies (BIRAC-BioNEST) Incubation Centre at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI) campus in Mysuru, Karnataka.
About BIRAC-BioNest Incubation Centre:
Aim: To nurture entrepreneurial talent in food bioprocessing and biotechnology research.
Key Role: This newly inaugurated facility will facilitate startups in converting innovation ideas into commercially viable technologies.
