India, South Korea Sign Pact to Boost Skill Development in Shipbuilding Sector

- The agreement aligns with the objectives of the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision (MAKV) 2047, aimed at strengthening India’s global maritime position.
About Plan of Implementation(PoI):
Objective: The project, titled ‘Support the Establishment of Development Strategies and to Build a Foundation for Skilled and Professional Talents for the Indian Shipbuilding and Marine Sector,’ aims to modernize the workforce to support economic growth.
Key Focus Areas: Under this collaboration, KOICA, along with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET), will conduct research on India’s shipbuilding and marine engineering sectors.
Implementation: A series of bilateral workshops will be conducted in India and South Korea with participation from industry experts, policymakers, and academic institutions.
