India Clinches SAFF U-19 Women’s Football Title Against Bangladesh in NepalOn 7th February 2026, India’s Under-17 (U-17) women’s national football team defeated Bangladesh 4–0 in the final of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-19 (U-19) Women’s Championship 2026 held at the Pokhara Rangasala Stadium, Nepal.

  • The 7th edition of the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship was held from 31 January to 7 February 2026.

Organiser: The tournament is organised by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).
Participants: The tournament featured four participating nations — Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal.
Champions: India clinched their third SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship title, having previously won in 2022 and 2024.
Team Strategy: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) fielded the U-17 squad in the U-19 tournament to prepare for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-17 Women’s Asian Cup.
Most Valuable Player: Bangladesh’s Alpi Akter was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Top Goalscorer: Alpi Akter of Bangladesh also finished as the tournament’s top goalscorer.
