Tata Consumer Products Acquires Innovative Food & Nutrition Technologies from CSIR-NIIST

Technologies Transfer: Under this collaboration, CSIR‑NIIST transferred two innovative technologies to TCPL:
- Smarter Rice, a nutritionally enhanced rice formulation with higher protein, lower Glycaemic Index (GI), and improved micronutrient availability, and
- Coffee Crema Technology, which enhances crema stability, aroma retention, and overall sensory quality in brewed coffee.
Low-Sodium Salt Initiative: TCPL and CSIR‑NIIST also signed a sponsored research agreement to develop Low-Sodium Salt Technology, aimed at reducing sodium intake for consumers without affecting taste, supporting public health goals and Tata Consumer’s focus on wellness-driven innovations.
