In February 2026, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministry of Education (MoE), launched Teacher App 2.0, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), developed by Bharti Airtel Foundation in collaboration with the CK-12 Foundation, a California (United States of America, USA) based global nonprofit organisation, in New Delhi, Delhi.
- The initiative accelerates AI adoption in India’s K–12 (Kindergarten to Class 12) ecosystem, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Viksit Bharat @2047,.
About Teacher App 2.0:
Features: The platform integrates 45+ AI-enabled tools for lesson planning, personalised learning, pedagogy, and classroom management, offers 2,500+ hours of training modules including Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), and provides collaborative spaces such as the Teachers’ Lounge.
Users: The app currently supports over two lakh educators across India as a free-for-life digital platform to enhance classroom teaching, reduce preparation time, and improve learning outcomes.
Integration: The platform draws on grassroots insights from Satya Bharti Schools and plans integration with Indian Large Language Models (LLMs) such as BharatGen and Sarvam launched at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Summit 2026.
Version 1.0: Teacher App Version 1.0 was launched in November 2024 as a one-stop platform to support teachers with pedagogy guidance and lesson planning resources.
