In January 2026, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Madhavrao (M.) Scindia, Ministry of Communications, announced the launch of two new India Post products, Speed Post 24 and Speed Post 48, during a programme held at Pichor in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh (MP).

Assured Delivery: These new services will set new standards for punctuality, reliability, and speed in the Indian Post network.
- Speed 24 will deliver the important documents and parcels to the designated address within a day (24 hour), while Speed Post 48 will deliver the shipments within two days (48 hours).
Other Key Launches: Apart from these two new products, Union Minister Scindia inaugurated the renovated Pichhor sub-post office, upgraded at a cost of Rs 2 lakh and also laid foundation stone for a new sub-post office building which is estimated to be built at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore.
Reforms through NCSS: While addressing the event, Union Minister highlighted that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), through the National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS), has launched several transforming reforms aimed to strengthen indigenous manufacturing and testing capabilities.
