In December 2025, Two-time Olympic Medallist and 2019 World Champion Pusarla Venkata (P.V.) Sindhu has been elected Chair of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Athletes’ Commission for a 3 year term (i.e. 2026-2029). In addition to that, Sindhu will also serve as a member of the BWF Council, lending a direct voice for players in the federation’s governance body.
