Supercomputer PARAM Rudra Unveiled at IIT-Patna in BiharOn December 26, 2025, PARAM Rudra supercomputer, a state-of-the-art High-Performance Computing (HPC) system, was launched at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Patna(Bihar), marking the first PARAM RUDRA supercomputer in Bihar.The launch ceremony was presided over by Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).About PARAM Rudra:Name Significance: “PARAM” refers to supreme, ultimate, or highest in sanskrit. “Rudra” is the vedic name of Lord Shiva, the Hindu god. PARAM Rudra symbolizes supreme computational power, transformational capability, and creation through transformation.Framework: PARAM Rudra is a high-performance supercomputer developed in India under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM).
