Declaration: In 2021, the Government of India (GoI) designated 23 January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, as Parakram Diwas to honour his contributions to the Indian independence movement.

Overview: On January 23, 2026, the Ministry of Culture, is organizing Parakram Diwas–2026 from January 23 to 25, 2026, at Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman and Nicobar (A&N) Islands, to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
