India’s AYUSH System Recognised in Bilateral Agreements with Oman, New Zealand
In January 2026, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoC&I) announced India’s traditional medical system Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy(AYUSH), formally recognised in bilateral agreements, including India-Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Growth in Exports : The exports of AYUSH and herbal products increased from USD 649.2 million in 2023-24 to USD 688.89 million in 2024-25, registering a growth of 6.11%.
About AYUSHEXCIL: On January 4, 2022, AYUSHEXCIL was registered as a Section 8 company with the Registrar of Companies (Delhi).
- It was formally launched in April 2022 by PM Narendra Modi during the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
