UN English Language Day 2026 – April 23
The United Nations (UN) annually observes English Language Day every year on April 23 across the globe to celebrate the English language and highlight its role as a vital bridge for international communication and global understanding.

Establishment: In 2010, the United Nations Department of Public Information(DPI) introduced dedicated days for each of the UN’s six official languages, Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish, to promote linguistic diversity and equal usage.
