The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has suspended Television Rating Points (TRPs) for news channels for four weeks or until further notice, whichever is earlier. The ministry said that it observed that amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, certain channels are displaying unwarranted sensationalism and speculative content, which may potentially create panic among the general public.
