Indian film 'Boong', backed by Farhan Akhtar, wins historic award at BAFTA 2026

'Boong', a Manipuri-language film, won Best Children's and Family Film award at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards. Backed by Farhan Akhtar and directed by Lakshmipriya Devi, it beat 'Arco', 'Lilo & Stitch' and 'Zootropolis 2'. It is the first Indian film to win in the Best Children's and Family Film category at BAFTAs.
