Dr Chandrakant Lahariya Becomes First Indian to Receive Wiley Research Heroes Award
In January 2026, Dr Chandrakant Lahariya, former staff member of the World Health Organisation (WHO), was awarded the Wiley Research Heroes Prize 2025 in the category “Impact Beyond Academia.”

  • He is the first and only Indian to receive this prestigious Wiley Research Heroes Prize, chosen as one of five global winners from over 2,000 nominations worldwide.

Recognition: Dr Chandrakant Lahariya was selected for his outstanding research contributions that have a direct impact on public policy and societal welfare.
