NSO Data: Inflation Increases to 3-month High of 1.33% in December 2025In January 2026, National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural, urban and combined for the month of December 2025.As per NSO’s latest data, India’s retail inflation, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), climbed to a three-month high of 1.33% in December 2025, rising from 0.71% in November 2025, while remaining below the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s lower tolerance threshold of 2% for the fourth consecutive month.What? IndiaAI Mission Signs MoU with UPDESCO to Build India’s Largest State-Level AI Skilling EcosystemsOn January 12, 2026, the IndiaAI Mission, an initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Limited (UPDESCO), aimed at building one of India’s largest state-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) skilling ecosystems.The MoU was exchanged by Anurag Yadav, Principal Secretary, Information Technology(IT) & Electronics Department, Government of UP; and Abhishek Singh, Chief Executive Officer(CEO), IndiaAI Mission.What?
