2. Detailed Description UNDP proposes to engage a Health & Nutrition Specialist to support the PMU at the Center for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPPGG) who will work under the overall guidance of the CEO of CPPGG and State Head, UNDP Uttarakhand in providing support to fast-track the Global Goal Agenda 2030 and Vision 2047 of Government of India.

1. The Health & Nutrition Specialist will maintain synergy between the State Planning Department/SETU, LKI and NITI Aayog. The specialist will also assist SETU in achieving its objectives in collaboration with NITI Aayog and the LKI. This role includes the evaluation and assessment of existing health strategies, methodologies, and systems to improve the socio-economic conditions and health ecosystem of the state, as well as the preparation of development strategies, sectoral targets, socio-economic goals, and State Vision 2030 and 2047, as per the State’s requirements and roadmap to achieve the same.
2. The specialist will draft policy briefs, presentations, and other documents, and coordinate with development partners and technical agencies concerned. Furthermore, the role involves supporting mechanisms for strengthening horizontal and vertical coordination within the Government, assisting the State in strengthening the innovation ecosystem, and assisting the State in strengthening the monitoring & evaluation ecosystem. Creating and facilitating cross-learning platforms, documentation of activities and emerging good practices performed by SETU and other SITs, supporting in the preparation of the State, regional, and sectoral reports regularly, and providing regular updates on progress in the State using the dashboard/ portal maintained by State/ NITI Aayog are also key responsibilities.
3. The specialist will plan and organize workshops and other events related to the SETU, including preparation of inputs for the workshop, analyze records (latest NFH, HMIS, Poshan tracker, etc.) and provide action plans for the reduction of problems like anaemia among Children and Women and adolescent girls, Infant and Maternal Mortality Rate, and perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor (Team Leader) as may be necessary in the interest of the mission.
Roles and Responsibilities The Health & Nutrition Specialist will support the PMU at CPPGG, maintain synergy between relevant government bodies, assist SETU in achieving its objectives, evaluate health strategies, prepare development strategies and policy documents, coordinate with partners, strengthen coordination and ecosystems, facilitate learning, document activities, support report preparation, provide progress updates, organize workshops, analyze health records, and address health issues like anaemia and mortality rates.

4. Educational Qualifications A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Medicine/ Nutrition / Public Health. Post Graduate Diploma in Health/Hospital Management with a considerable amount of field experience in Health and Nutrition Management. An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in a similar field will be given an advantage.

5. Other Qualifications Demonstrated publication in the field of Medicine/ Nutrition / Public Health. At least three years of experience working in government/international agency-funded projects. Experience in the implementation of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Programs. Experience in stakeholder management, research and preparing policy briefs, drafting reports, and reviewing detailed Project reports. Prior experience with Government, UN agencies, and other international organizations. Domain knowledge in areas like governance, planning, and social inclusion. High level of IT/computing skills (minimum: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of and experience in gender mainstreaming is an asset. Brings visibility and sensitizes decision-makers to relevant emerging issues. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi is essential. Ability to research and turn information into useful knowledge products. Ability to provide feedback on programme performance. Ability to extract, analyse and visualize data. Ability to make independent judgments based on criteria. Ability to anticipate client's upcoming needs and concerns. Ability to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data.

Detailed Description UNDP proposes to engage a Technology & Entrepreneurship Specialist to support the PMU at the Center for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPPGG) who will work under the overall guidance of the CEO of CPPGG and State Head, UNDP Uttarakhand in providing support to fast-track the Global Goal Agenda 2030 and Vision 2047 of Government of India.
