2. Detailed Description
The Delhi Teachers University, a University Established by an Act of Govt. of NCT of Delhi and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f), invites applications from eligible candidates for the following teaching positions as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) and NCTE norms. Advertisement No. 01/2025 is dated 01 May 2025.

Candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations, and such Ph.D. candidates are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET. 4) Ph.D. in Education. 5) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college/teacher training institute, and/or experience with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. 6) A minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Appendix III of UGC Regulations. 7) Any other relevant qualification prescribed by the UGC for these categories of posts.

Evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers is required. 6) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Appendix III of UGC Regulations. 7) Any other relevant qualification prescribed by the UGC for these categories of posts.

For Assistant Professor: 3) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions. The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode, the Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners, an open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted, the candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal (UGC listed), and the candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. Desirable: Ph.D. In Education. 4) Any other relevant qualification prescribed by the UGC for these categories of posts.

All candidates must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and NCTE. These include academic qualifications, professional experience, and age limitations. Relaxations in educational qualifications, experience, age, etc. to the reserved category candidates will be permissible as per UGC/Govt of NCT Delhi norms. SC/ST Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority should be in the format prescribed by Govt of NCT Delhi for this purpose. The candidates applying under PwBD Category are required to submit the Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority in the format prescribed by Govt of NCT Delhi for this purpose. The Reservation to OBC (NCL) candidates shall be applicable as per the directives of the Government of Delhi. Candidates shall upload recent OBC caste certificate issued from a competent authority particularly with reference to non-creamy layer. The candidate who are not in the GNCTD of OBC will not be considered for the post(s) reserved for OBC. The Reservation to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates shall be applicable as per Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions norms. The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by competent authority. The candidate who do not belong to EWS category shall not apply for the post(s) reserved for EWS. If at any stage, it is found that the EWS certificate is not valid, the candidature shall stand cancelled and appointment made, if any, shall be terminated with immediate effect without any further notice.

Candidates applying for various faculty positions should go through the essential qualifications and other instructions carefully before applying and also upload scanned copies of all evidences in support of their claims. Research Score for journals may be claimed on the basis of whether papers are published in refereed journals or other reputed journals as per UGC Regulations 2018. Application Fee: There is an application fee of ₹ 2000/- (Non-Refundable) from candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS Category. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PwBD and women candidates.
